Location: Sydney,Australia

Weather: Hot insummer, mild in winter

Currency: AUS dollars

Bondi, one of theworlds most famous beaches. Located in Sydney Australia, around a 20 minutedrive from the CBD, beautiful Bondi sits underneath a crowd of people. On anygiven summers day crowds of around 20,000 people flock to the Sydney suburb of Bondi.

The best time to visitis summer, however be ready for the crowds. Often it is difficult to seethe sand as it is covered by beach umbrellas and towels. This is all part ofthe Bondi experience. For those that don't like sand between the toes there isa large grassy area that overlooks this iconic spot. Many bus tours also travelpast on a regular basis from city areas.

There is a popular walk from Bondi to Bronte (a beach south of Bondi- great if you want to have a swim or sun bake away from the crowds) take your camera because the view along the way is spectacular. Or grab a bite to beach at the world famous Bondi icebergs. (a popular celebrity hot spot and eatery)

The Sunday markets are a great place to grab a bargain while soaking up the local atmosphere. People come from all over to visit these markets. Quite a few famous Australiandesigners started out selling there products at the Bondi markets. Great for abargin and to take a little piece of Bondi home with you.

A vast variety ofaccommodation option are available. There are many backpacker hostels at resonable prices (starting at around $20 per night),however book in advance, especially around summer time when places fill upquickly. There is also some really nice hotel located within walking distanceto Bondi beach. Any hotel in Sydney easterns suburbs wont be to far from Bondibeach and most places are near public transport as parking at the beach is hardto find and is very expensive. The best option is to jump on a bus.Staying  in the city is also an option as regular buses run to Bondi.
